FGCC Elections for Board Positions
At the General Business meeting, we will elect officers for the next fiscal year beginning November 1.
All five offices- President, Vice President, Corresponding Secretary, Recording Secretary, and Sergeant at Arms—are up for election, and we are inviting any paid member of the Forest Glen Community to run for any of the offices! Nominations can also be made from the floor. Get involved in Forest Glen—have a say on issues important to all of us!

We have included a brief description of each office and its duties.

The President shall be the principal executive officer of the Club and shall, in general, supervise and control all of the business and affairs of the Club. He or she shall preside at all meetings of the general membership and meetings of the Executive Committee.
In the absence of the President or in the event of his or her inability or refusal to act, the Vice President shall perform the duties of the President, and when so acting, shall have all the powers of, and be subject to, all the restrictions upon the President.
The Communications Secretary shall keep a register of contact information of each member as well as subscribers to email communications, prepare a weekly newsletter of club events and other appropriate news, maintain the website, and see that all notices are duly given through notices or electronic means.
The Recording Secretary prepares minutes of each meeting of the members and of the Executive Committee.
The Treasurer shall have charge and custody of, and be responsible for, all funds and securities of the Club; receive and give receipts for monies due and payable to the Club from any source whatsoever; and deposit all such monies in the name of the Club in the bank. He or she shall keep and maintain records of all financial transactions and report all transactions at every general meeting.
The Sergeant-at-Arms prepares the meeting room for meetings including providing refreshments, keeps a registry of all members attending meetings, issue voting credentials, and ensures that order is maintained at the meetings.
